I took the trans out to replace the rear main seal now the trans just stays in over drive now it won't shift in first and second but if you manual shift it then it will shift right can anyone help me

That's something that a mechanic would help you with. I really not advise you to experiment with your car without knowing how things work!

That's probably a simple problem with the gears. Or probably the electronic system that helps shift! Never experienced that sort of a problem strange to hear!
